Hyaluronic acid must obviously be cross-linked in the tissue for increased stability. In this context factors such as quality of the hyaluronic acid used, the cross-linking substance used and the procedure applied are significant. We use high-grade pharmaceutical hyaluronic acid compliant with European and American standards, an high hyaluronic acid concentration and butandioldiglycidylether as a particularly compatible cross-linking agent. In particular, a patented cross-linking procedure is used that eliminates one-sided connections and creates a three-dimensional matrix structure. How long does the effect of hyaluronic acid last?
The effect of implanted hyaluronic acid lasts approx. 9 – 12 months. Based on age, skin quality or personal circumstances, the effect may last longer or shorter.
At what age should hyaluronic acid implanting start?
Hyaluronic acid implant is suitable for adults. The implant is well suited for padding of wrinkles and for the following treatments:
- removal of irregularities or asymmetries
- fuller and thus more sensuous lips
- smoothing the facial contours
The treatments are of course suited for men as well.
Is the treatment painful?
The injection causes hardly any pain, a local anesthetic – an anesthetic ointment for instance – can be applied during treatment for increased comfort.
Are there side effects / contra-indications?
The side effects / contra-indications are generally associated with your personal condition or state of health. For this reason a discussion with a medical practitioner is very important to guarantee the sustainability of this treatment.
What should be observed prior to the treatment?
You should refrain from taking aspirin or any other painkillers at least three days prior to treatment. Please mention any other medications during the preliminary discussion.
What should you heed after the treatment?
At least two weeks after the treatment you should avoid temperatures below 0° C and avoid sun and heat (UV light, sauna, steam bath etc.)
