What sounds like a dream is a fascinating idea, developed and successfully tested in 1995 by a Brazilian dermatologist. Through an injection, the natural compound phosphate idylcholin (PPC), extracted from the soybean, is injected directly into the offending fatty pad.

This active agent is produced by the body in the same proportions, where it has diverse functions, particularly in lipometabolism. It has also been used as a liver protection compound for many years and to prevent fat coagulum in the blood. Owing to ongoing development of this therapy by Austria’s Dr. Franz Hasengschwandtner, one of Europe’s most experienced therapists in this field, and Dr. Locorotondo, who is part of the NETWORK lipolysis, faster and better treatment results are presently achieved and the therapy has been standardized.

Perhaps you are familiar with the problem, as many others are, that certain fat pads are neither reduced by nutritional change, nor by diets or targeted exercise therapy. Injection lipolysis (also called fat-away injection) is not a new miracle cure for losing weight. This therapy, however, enables fat to be specifically melted away and metabolized in individual areas. 

Using very fine needles, the substance is injected directly into the relevant areas, thus melting away the fat cells and stimulating increased fat breakdown. In this way, the body breaks down the fat in a natural and sustained manner. The body dimensions are measurably reduced in this region. FAQs on Method III

Do the fatty pads dissolved by the fat-away injection (lipolysis injection) vanish for good? How long do the results last?

According to current knowledge, once dissolved fat cells are not regenerated. This enables fat pads to be durably reduced. If your weight does not change, the results remain constant.

What special benefit does the fat-away injection (lipolysis injection) offer?
The injection-lipolysis enables lasting reduction of fatty pads, especially in regions where reduction cannot be achieved by dieting or sport. The treatment is gentle, virtually painless, low-risk and quick. No elaborate pre- and post-treatments required. Working ability is not restricted except with facial treatments.

How do I decide which is more suitable for me: injection-lipolysis or a liposuction?
For a long time liposuction was the only option for targeted removal of fat build-up. In the meantime it is possible, using injection-lipolysis, to gently remove fatty pads with minimal effort. The main difference is that injection-lipolysis is a non-surgical procedure whilst liposuction is a surgical procedure. With liposuction the fat vanishes very quickly. Injection-lipolysis enables a slow change of the body contour, and thereby the self-image, within a few months. In addition, injection-lipolysis is an ideal method of treatment after liposuction to remove residual adipose tissue and to tighten the surrounding skin.

How many treatments are required?

As a rule, 2 to 4 applications suffice at intervals of at least 6 to 8 weeks. 

Is the treatment with the fat-away injection (injection-lipolysis) painful?

The injections are not painful since the subcutaneous tissue has very few nerve endings. One feels only a brief prick followed by slight itchiness.

Does the health insurance fund bear the costs?

Normally, the health insurance fund does not pay for purely aesthetic therapies.

What are the risks associated with the fat-away injection (injection-lipolysis)?
Immediately following the therapy, slight swelling and pressure sensitivity as well as redness and/or itchiness may occur, lasting no longer than 2 to 4 days. Massage, sauna and sport should be avoided for about 3 days. In rare cases, hardening may occur, which disappears again after 2 to 6 weeks. All in all, this procedure may be classified as having few side effects. There are therefore no risks if specific health conditions and limitations were established and if treatment is by a trained NETWORK lipolysis physician.

For whom is the fat-away injection (injection-lipolysis) not suitable?

The treatment with injection-lipolysis is not suitable for and may not be performed on minors or children, pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers or in the case of some rare, severe illnesses or for general weight loss or obesity treatment. Prior to a fat-away injection it is advisable that the subcutaneous adipose tissue is loosened, water build-up and tissue fluid trained off. We achieve this by specifically massaging the subcutaneous adipose tissue. Through the preparatory peeling, the algae pack with additional blockage-removing wrap can have a particularly intensive effect. To conclude the treatment, an ampoule with ivy and meliot, plus a gel with guarana, mata and green coffee is applied particularly effectively.
